Dear Unit Owners and Residents,
This is regarding the status of the project to replenish sand to our coastline in the neighborhood. According to the Engineers’ Corp, staging of the equipment will begging on 36st in two weeks and the distribution of sand will start shortly thereafter. Until complete, the beach will see a lot of traffic and will be closed where the sand is being added.

Good morning Mr Vazquez,
I’m still not sure how I got bumped from Wednesday’s zoom call, but wanted to share the latest status from construction update.
The Corps contractor is planning to start installing composite mats in the vicinity of the 36th Street access point beginning this coming Wednesday 3/22.
Placement will be made from the beach and no right of way issues are expected.
They expect to finish placement and tilling at the Mid-Beach stretch in the next week to 10 days and will begin mobilization and sand delivery at 36th Street thereafter.
Please keep in mind that these projections are tentative and may vary depending on unforeseeable weather, mechanical, personnel or other issues.
Once sand placement begins, the team will move south from the access/staging area, constructing the beach in sections, which will be off-limits to residents and visitors.
The public will be able to access the beach and the water in areas not under construction.
There will be a restricted transport corridor running south from the staging area for sand delivery as the project moves down the beach. We expect the contractor to contact property operators to coordinate operating guidelines for concessionaires etc. at the various locations.
Turtle monitoring season began 3/1, daily beach monitoring is being conducted at the start of the work day.
It won’t affect your location, but the crew is not working at Mid-Beach tomorrow, 3/18.
That’s it for now, please give me a call if you’d like to discuss.
And let’s work on the zoom link well in advance of the April call, I’d like to give a status update and take any questions at that time, when I expect beach placement will have begun.
Thanks, have a nice weekend.
Respectfully,
David Ruderman
